The next tool: a check-up for your guestbook

Nightdesk keeps showing us the same thing: the AI isn't the weak link, the guestbook is. So the next BNB Host Guru tool fixes that.

Something we keep seeing in Nightdesk data: the bot doesn't fail because the AI is bad. It fails because the guestbook is.

When a guest asks something and the answer isn't in the guide, Nightdesk does the right thing — it says so and points them to the host. But every one of those moments is a question the host was always going to get, guestbook or not, bot or not. The gap was there the whole time. The bot just made it visible.

So we're building a tool for that

The next BNB Host Guru tool is simple: give it your guestbook — the PDF you already have — and it tells you what's missing before a guest ever finds out.

Not generic advice. A specific read of your actual document:

  • The questions guests will ask that it doesn't answer — parking specifics, early check-in, what to do when the lockbox jams.
  • The answers that are technically in there but buried where a tired guest at 9pm will never find them.
  • The instructions that have quietly gone stale — the router you replaced, the door code you rotated, the restaurant that closed.

Think of it as a pre-flight check for your guest experience. Five minutes, one upload, and you know exactly what to fix before the next booking.

Why this comes before everything else

Every tool we ship rests on the same foundation: what the host actually wrote down. A great guestbook makes Nightdesk sharper, makes guests calmer, and makes the 2am text rarer. It's the highest-leverage document in hosting, and almost nobody ever gets feedback on it. That's the gap this closes.

When?

Soon. It doesn't have a name yet — naming things is somehow harder than building them — but the machinery behind it already runs inside Nightdesk today. If you want to be the first to hear when it lands, keep an eye on this blog.

And if your guestbook could use the check-up right now: upload it to Nightdesk, watch what your guests ask, and the gaps will introduce themselves.
